Let's Start At the Very Beginning...
...A very good place to start."
The world of blogging is not a new concept for me at all. I have been wrestling with the idea of starting a blog for a couple of years now. I have gone through the process of setting one up, exploring the different gadgets and formatting all the colors and pictures...but when it came to beginning to type that first post, my fingers froze, my vocabulary vanished and my interest died...
Back in school (2003) I had begun writing a book, stemming from experiences I had as a child. I would laugh as I recalled the ridiculousness and enjoyed my embellishment of it. Throughout college I had interviewed friends who had quirks that I wanted to steal for a character or two. Fifty plus pages later my stupidly unsaved book was typed out on my Mac...and it unexpectedly crashed. All that work, for the past 5 years, was lost.
I have attempted a few times after this to start it up again, but I had lost all my work and was sad and unmotivated.
It is now 2011. It has been four years since my book was lost...and I am out of shape. I have rolls of unused imagination and any attempt to throw together a creative sentence causes my immediate writer's cramp. Its hard to get back into it, now that I am artistically chubby, so this blog is my treadmill.
My goal is simple: write. Regaining my momentum with the hope that I will be able to 'fit in' my old writing habits and once again enjoy the art of writing. So in the mean time, you the reader, gets a sneak peak into my life because as any good author knows, the easiest things to write about are those things we know best.
So thanks for joining me in this journey...
