verts.

i'm married to a friendly introvert. maybe its how he was raised. but even though he is a standard introvert, he knows how and with his favorite people, seeks socializing with them. an introvert with extroverted tendencies.

i'm a shy extrovert. i love social gatherings, i don't avoid strangers, but with time my exuberance for 'going out' has faded and the devastation of 'canceled plans' doesn't ruin my whole day. an extrovert with introverted tendencies.

 so sometimes i wonder if i'm 'bi-verted' or if there should be another category for us not so extroverted or not fully introverted... the way there are optimist and pessimist but also realists.

"I know you can be extroverted and introverted but can you ever just be verted?"
"I think you can in Europe."

  

its fun to see which flag my kids fly... and exciting to know no matter which approach they have to life, they have a parent who gets it, and gets how to relate to the other side. since Nik is always having to care for his extrovert... and me caring for my introvert.

I couldn't find a sketch with the extrovert's heart so I made this one on my own... excuse the rough draft level of handwriting and the less then artistic skill. but you get the idea.
