oh ish.
8:50am.
kids are calm(ish)
I'm awake(ish)
unpacking/laundry has begun(ish)
photo-uploading is underway(ish)
cleaning has started(ish)
having "ish" keeps me sane.
coffee is on. time to get serious about the day. there are groceries to be purchased, piles to sort and kids to keep entertained. but we won't have to do any part of today out of our house, mixed in with activities and travel. no airplanes, no squishing, no hussling. the excitement of travel, the fun of hugging people I haven't seen in years, the thrill of looking out our rental car windows and seeing NEW and beautiful is not on today's agenda.
today we just have to be home. so sweat pants it is, and movies and to do list attacking.
disjointed may be the the style of this post today. but disjointed is the current wave length of my mind. the day after, the day after travel is always a little clearer. but I didn't want to lose my weekly writing groove. mental deadline monday night.
so pardon the haze. the brevity. the ish.
