the bear and the fox

Well I am stretching my creative side a bit and have started writing a Children's book. This is really a children's chapter picture book, sort of like "The Frog and Toad" or "Amelia Bedelia" series. They have chapters, but still are picture books. This is new for me, I have played around with children's books, but always chapter books, like 4th or 5th grade reading level. So this is good. I am starting way basic and simple, and I like it. The trouble is keeping it simple (vocab and story-line-wise) and also finding a way to illustrate my stories. I have a few creative sources I can tap into...so hopefully in the near future I'll have some sketches to put up with the stories.

My goal is to get a new story out every week or so. I know will not fail me in creating several moments that are easy to turn into the next funny chapter in "the bear and the fox."

just fyi:
I'm using "blog.com" for now, but not a huge fan of its limitations, blogger.com is proving to really be a lot more fun (or maybe I'm just used to it) either way, the site will be changing, but I'll keep the link to wherever it is on the right side of this blog.
