I really enjoy holidays. They are a reason to celebrate and remember.

And the big ones are my favorite. People say they hate all the commercialism and I agree, but I just don't let it bother me. I can roll my eyes at the store decorations and marketing (if I need to, sometimes it's great) but I think it is important to make holidays a big deal, it's a holiday after all!

I don't talk like a pirate on national talk like a pirate day... But today, on a little lesser-known holiday, I am joining with the Christians in our great nation to pray.

No decorations for this holiday. No big fuss.

But there is something awesome in joining with people around the country to pray... For our nation, for our states, for our leaders, our troops and our churches.

I encourage you to do the same. Even if its just a little bit through out the day, take a moment to pray and remember the foundation of the United States and that we would become grounded again in what the founders intended.
